Description

We are a full Custom Manufacture of High-End Commercial Furniture. We are seeking skilled CNC l operators with a minimum of 3 years. Individuals should possess experience with 3 and 5-axis milling machinery. Any 3D programming experience would be a benefit, as well as cabinetmaking or woodworking shop experience. You will be a key player involved in the programming, milling and troubleshooting of intricate parts with tight tolerances in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with Mastercam, and Holz-her 3 and 5-axis machines are an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a related manufacturing environment as a machinist or programmer.
  • CNC Mastercam working on 3 & 5 Axis Milling machinery
  • Proficient knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Responsibilities
  • Study and interpret engineering drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
  • Assist in planning the production cycle in order to set and achieve optimal production targets.
  • Provide assistance to CNC programmers in setting up new programs and running prototypes.
  • Continually maintain the CNC machine, database, and cutting tools
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose common CNC problems, consulting with the manufacturer as necessary.
  • Understanding wood and wood product machining, tools, speeds and cutting geometry.
  • Closely monitor machines for signs of problems while ensuring output meets set specifications.
  • Communicate with supervisors, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
  • Liaise with multi-disciplinary teams to identify areas of inefficiency.
  • Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with provincial and federal law, the Company ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
