Are you an aspiring accountant with a passion to learn and develop in a friendly and fun environment? This position is ideal for a school leaver, and it is an apprenticeship-based role with the successful candidate working towards an AAT qualification. We are a local firm of Business Advisers, Chartered Accountants and Tax Specialists, with a number of offices in Birmingham and the West Midlands, who inspire growth and help small and medium-sized businesses to unlock their potential. We are a friendly, approachable team of advisers that have the knowledge and experience to work with clients; to help build more successful businesses and we like to have fun along the way. We are looking to further develop our teams in Birmingham and other offices and are looking for an Accountancy Apprentice who has the ability and personality to add value to our clients and our team. Our firm works with a wide range of businesses, and we will give you the opportunity to work on an interesting and varied client portfolio. The successful candidate will join an exciting and fun team in a company that has significant growth plans for the future and focusses on employee development and engagement.

Accurate recording of all financial transactions through ledger postings, nominal journals, bank reconciliations etc
Processing of bank payments Payroll processing and submission
Preparation and submission of VAT returns Assistance with preparation of year end statutory accounts
Helping with the production of monthly management accounts and other ad hoc financial reporting
A range of other ad hoc duties to help support the team and their clients JOB TYPE Full time or part time position available
