Following significant growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients, Turner & Townsend’s ANZ Finance Team are looking for an experienced Accountant to join the Brisbane based team.
Job Description
Are you a degree qualified Accountant with experience in business tax or advisory in practice? Or perhaps you went straight into industry and are looking for a change. If you’re an ambitious Accountant with an eagerness to learn more in the commercial world, this could be a great opportunity for you.
Your role will include:
- Preparation of group intercompany payable and receivable schedules
- Maintenance and reconciliation of various company Fixed Asset Registers
- Preparation of payroll journals and detailed payroll reconciliations
- Preparation of month end Annual Leave and Long Service Leave calculations
- Review and preparation of FBT accruals, assistance in preparation of YE FBT returns
- Preparation of various monthly accruals including payroll tax, workers compensation and general accruals
- Oversight and review of bank reconciliations
- Review of new revenue contracts in line with SOX reporting requirements
- Completion of internal control reviews such as fixed asset useful lives and disposals and AP vendor changes.
- Assistance in YE statutory audit and SOX Controls audits
- Other ad hoc reporting as required
Qualifications
- A degree qualification in a relevant discipline
- CA or CPA qualified or studying towards
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work to work to tight reporting deadlines
- Team player who is willing and able to work and share information with other team members
- High level of attention to detail with ability to work through complex reconciliations
- Good communication skills.
