Join Ireland’s leading independent manufacturer of concrete and bituminous construction materials. We are seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable Assistant for a 6-month fixed term contract to support our finance team in Piercetown, Dunboyne, Co. Meath.
The Accounts Payable Assistant will support the finance department by managing the end-to-end accounts payable process. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and processing.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

Invoice Processing: Review, verify, process, and enter supplier invoices into the accounting system.
Payments: Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
Vendor Management: Maintain vendor files, ensuring all documentation is current, and communicate regarding invoice and payment status.
Reconciliations: Perform monthly supplier statement reconciliations and reconcile accounts payable transactions.
Reporting: Assist in month-end closing and generate accounts payable status reports.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations, maintaining accurate records.
Support: Assist with audits and provide ad-hoc support to the finance team.
