Description Southern Lumber is hiring an Accounts Payable Support team member to join our administrative department. This is a full-time, in-office position working closely alongside our Accounts Payable Specialist and a collaborative admin team. Southern Lumber is an 85-year-old, family-owned and operated company supplying building materials, windows and doors, and custom millwork to home builders throughout the Charleston area. We take pride not only in the materials we provide, but in the people who make it all happen. About the Role: As an Accounts Payable Support team member, you’ll play a key role in keeping our financial operations accurate, organized, and running smoothly. Responsibilities include: • Receiving and reviewing vendor invoices • Matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving paperwork • Organizing and maintaining accounts payable files and documentation • Assisting the Accounts Payable Specialist with daily processing tasks • Coordinating with vendors to ensure complete and accurate paperwork for payment • Working with internal departments to resolve discrepancies or missing documentation • Supporting month-end and ongoing administrative processes as needed About You: You don’t need to know everything on day one, we value coachability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic above all.
