Actemium EV, part of VINCI Energies, is seeking a dedicated and skilled JIB EV Charger Service Electrician to join our expanding e-Mobility team. ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE – JIB ELECTRICIAN FOR EV CHARGERS

  • JIB Gold Card Electrician or equivalent NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification.
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition (BS 7671) certification.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical installation, maintenance, and testing (EV charger experience desirable but not essential—training provided).
  • Sound understanding of electrical fault finding, safe isolation, and inspection & testing procedures.
  • Commitment to health, safety, and site compliance standards.
  • Full UK driving licence willingness to travel throughout the South West primarily but some UK travel and nights away from home as required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and customer-oriented approach.
  • Team player mentality with the ability to work independently and take initiative as required.
Responsibilities
  • Carry out commissioning, servicing, and repair of electric vehicle charge points (AC & DC) to the highest industry standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and technical faults, completing accurate documentation using digital service systems.
  • Undertake periodic inspections, preventative maintenance, and compliance testing on a variety of EV charging equipment and associated electrical panels.
  • Apply knowledge of current wiring regulations, health & safety requirements, and manufacturer guidance to ensure safety and quality at all times.
  • Liaise directly with clients and site personnel to deliver excellent customer service, clear communication, and safe working environments.
  • Participate in an on-call rota for out-of-hours emergency support (additional payments apply).
  • Proactively identify and report potential installation risks or improvement opportunities to optimise the customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and apprentices to deliver planned works on time and to specification.
