Contract Strategy & Governance * Define and implement contracting strategies aligned to project objectives, budgets, and timelines. * Ensure adherence to TATA Realty contracting policies, delegation of authority, and compliance frameworks. * Act as the commercial custodian of all major project contracts. 2. Tendering & Contract Finalisation * Lead pre‑bid, bid evaluation, negotiations, and finalisation of EPC, PMC, consultant, vendor, and subcontractor agreements. * Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Legal, Finance, and Projects for seamless contract execution. * Ensure clarity on scope, commercials, payment milestones, liquidated damages, warranties, and exit clauses. 3. Commercial Risk Management * Identify and mitigate contractual, financial, and execution risks. * Manage change orders, deviations, variation claims, and escalation clauses. * Lead resolution of contractual disputes, claims, counter‑claims, and arbitration support in coordination with Legal. 4. Project Commercial Management * Oversee budget adherence, cost optimisation, value engineering initiatives, and contractual financial exposure. * Validate RA bills, milestone certifications, and payment recommendations in line with contract terms. * Track and manage claims, recoveries, penalties, and back‑charges. 5. Stakeholder Management * Partner closely with Project Heads, Engineering, Legal, Finance, SCM, and external consultants. * Support senior leadership with commercial insights, risk notes, and decision briefs. * Represent the Contracts function in internal reviews and audits. 6. Process Improvement & Compliance * Drive standardisation of contract templates, SOPs, and contracting best practices. * Support internal and external audits with accurate documentation and contractual clarifications. * Mentor and guide junior Contracts team members.
Responsibilities
