Is seeking a full-time Outpatient Psychiatrist
AdventHealth Orlando is looking to add a full-time Outpatient Psychiatrist with Neurological expertise to join our psychiatry program. The psychiatrist will help to treat newly diagnosed neurology patients suffering from a wide array of Neurological disorders in an outpatient setting.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong medical decision-making skills.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Medical Degree
- Psychiatry experience (preferred)
Responsibilities:
The MD or DO, is responsible for:
- Conducting comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients with neurological conditions.
- Providing psychotherapy and medication management as appropriate.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including therapists, social workers, and primary care physicians.
- Engaging in patient education and offering support to help individuals manage their mental health effectively.
- Staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in psychiatric care.
