The Chief Corporate Services Office has a mission of ensuring that the highest standards of excellence are maintained in the delivery of group strategy, sustainability, public relations and enterprise security activities and initiatives.
The Strategy & Sustainability Team leads this drive for excellence, managing and overseeing the execution of the strategy delivery programme and the sustainability strategy delivery programme, aligning both and driving them as one going forward.

The main purpose of the role of the Sustainability Analyst is to support the execution of the Sustainability Strategy. The appointee will support the Sustainability Programme Manager to manage execute our Sustainability Strategy including activities relating to sustainability reporting, our carbon footprint assessment, our education partnerships and sponsorship initiatives.
In addition, the role holder will provide technical and commercial analysis to support policy and strategy decisions to assist in the delivery of the Group’s strategic priorities. The appointee will work with the Head of Strategy & Sustainability, the Sustainability Programme Manager and key business leaders to ensure that the Sustainability Strategy execution programme remains on track and adapts to changing requirements.

- Support the development and execution of the Group’s multi-year Sustainability Strategy implementation plan and reporting processes driving its delivery across the Group and aligning with the overall Group business strategy and annual reporting.
- Manage specific initiatives and deliverables under the Sustainability Strategy including the Sponsorship Committee and our Education Partnerships.
- Support internal and external communications on the Group Sustainability Strategy.
- Preparation of a suite of performance reports and metrics for the Group’s executive leadership team.
- Support EirGrid’s sustainability reporting initiatives and obligations including our annual Sustainability Report, reporting under the Commercial Semi-State Climate Action Framework and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
- Support activities relating to our annual Carbon Footprint Assessment
- Ensure strategic and business issues and proposed solutions are highlighted appropriately to the Head of Strategy & Sustainability.
- Prepare and present robust, accurate and timely information on new and emerging trends to inform the organisation’s approach to sustainability.
- Develop and maintain critical internal and external relationships to support the successful performance of the role.

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

- Excellent presentation and report writing skills with the ability to take information and present it to stakeholders in a non-complex manner
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise under pressure of deadlines
- Qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline
- Knowledge of sustainability strategic planning and execution including Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting is helpful but not essential.
- Deep knowledge of the Group’s activities and understanding of the electricity sector is helpful, but not essential
