Job Description
David Williams Architect is looking for an experienced architectural technologist to join our team as the practice Technical Leader. We make thoughtful, sustainable, and beautiful buildings and places, and deliver them to the highest standards.
The role will involve becoming a key member of our small but growing team while delivering interesting new housing and public buildings with opportunities for further career development.
Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Take the leading role in the technical design development and execution of projects
  • Lead the office technical Quality Control, overseeing projects at design stages for regulation compliance, consistency, and technical performance
  • Manage and maintain consistent detailed drawing and specification output standards through the office
  • Lead Fire Safety Certificate and Disability Access Certificate statutory applications and production of construction documentation
  • Coordinate with design teams and other external consultants
  • Develop and maintain technical standards and processes within the practice
  • Support the practice in maintaining a consistently high-quality output

About You:

  • 7+ years’ post graduate industry experience
  • A recognised qualification in architectural technology
  • Excellent organisational, time management and resource management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate with design teams, manufacturers and contractors
  • Detailed knowledge of Irish building regulations
  • Knowledge of the Building Control process
  • Revit proficiency is required for this role
