JOB SUMMARY

In this role, you will execute high priority and complex projects by using best-in-class program and project management skills. You will be working on managing large-scale, high-paced internal and external remediation programs which are complex, highly visible, and strategically important to the firm.
You will build new approaches and tools to plan and deliver effective program delivery. You will interface with a wide range of stakeholders to manage cross-divisional work. You will be building new plans, creating graphics and reporting, and standing up metrics to help senior leaders keep track of progress. You will work with multiple divisions to create accurate status reporting each week and to enhance how work is summarized and reported in governance forums.
This role will initially focus on a live remediation program where you will contribute to the delivery of a multi-year strategic initiative. By performing the role, you will acquire detailed knowledge of program management and of multiple areas within the firm. Longer term, you will also have the opportunity to take on other project roles within AWM.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Accounting, Law).
  • 2-3 years of experience in financial services and / or asset and wealth management is preferred. Experience in regulatory compliance or a related field is desirable but not essential.
  • Proven experience in program and / or project management is required. A background in consulting, chief of staff team, or COO functions is highly preferred.
  • An ability to navigate the firm and work with a diverse range of stakeholder groups
  • Proven experience building new relationships to collaborate cross-functionally and build consensus across divisions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple projects and meet competing deadlines
  • Drive, motivation, and resilience – ability to handle multiple tasks, taking initiative to improve his / her own performance, working intensely towards goals and persisting in the face of obstacles
Responsibilities
  • Remediation Oversight: Strategically track and manage the remediation of high-priority regulatory matters, viewing each issue within the broader context of the firm’s overall regulatory risk profile. This includes developing and monitoring remediation plans, coordinating with various stakeholders, and reporting on progress to senior management, while highlighting strategic implications and potential areas for process improvement.
  • Proactive Regulatory Communication: Assist in the preparation of strategic responses to regulatory inquiries, focusing on clear, concise communication that demonstrates the firm’s commitment to compliance and proactive risk management. Maintain accurate records of all regulatory interactions, analyzing trends to inform future strategic planning.
  • Support management of applicable governance committees and / or working groups: Prepare regular executive-level presentations for senior AWM leadership, including strategic reporting. This includes not only summarizing key regulatory issues and tracking remediation progress but also identifying and assessing potential future risks and developing proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data related to regulatory matters using data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making and identify potential issues before they escalate. Prepare regular reports summarizing progress, highlighting key trends, and proposing strategic recommendations.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across the firm, including legal, compliance, operations, and other business units, fostering strong relationships and aligning efforts towards a common strategic goal of regulatory excellence.
  • Strategic Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the regulatory remediation process, proposing innovative solutions that enhance the firm’s overall strategic approach to regulatory compliance.
