Job Description
Are you an experienced Mixologist with a flair for creativity and a passion for crafting unique signature cocktails? We are looking for an experienced Assistant Bar Manager who will assist our Bar Manager in managing, leading and motivating our bar team.
Within Bar The Tailor, everything is ‘Tailor’ made. Together with your team you will prepare all the garnishes and syrups in the kitchen. You share ideas with your team for new cocktails and brainstorm for a new menu that is coming up for the next period. In doing so, you will achieve that all colleagues have the right tools to create ‘Authentic Luxury’ moments for our guest and elevate our guest experience.
Your main responsibilities:
- Assist the Bar Manager in overseeing daily operations of the bar, ensuring smooth and efficient service;
- Supervise, train and motivate a team of bartenders;
- Advising guests based on their preference/taste;
- Provide exceptional guest service, and addressing any concerns or feedback;
- Supervising the preparation & quality of the drinks and serving them;
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency;
- Develop and implement bar promotions and events to attract and retain guests;
- Assuring training and development of (new) team members based on LQA service- & emotional intelligence standards;
- Develop and implement innovative beverage programs, including signature cocktails;
- Monitoring and managing hygiene, safety and grooming standards;
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor to engage with guests and ensure their satisfaction.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience as a Bar Supervisor or similar role in a high-end establishment;
- In-depth knowledge of mixology, spirits, and wine;
- Strong leadership and team management skills;
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required;
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in the English language, Dutch is a plus.
