DESCRIPTION

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for executing core accounting functions including general ledger (GL) month-end close processes and fixed asset accounting. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with internal controls, and supports audits and inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Foundational experience in accounting or finance (minimum relevant professional work experience required).
  • Good knowledge of GL month-end close processes and fixed asset accounting.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights effectively.
  • Experience with financial internal controls and audit processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CA, CPA) are a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyze, record, and report accounting transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Prepare general ledger entries and perform account reconciliations.
  • Manage fixed assets accounting and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Respond to inquiries from management, auditors, and compliance teams including Sarbanes-Oxley audit group.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect organizational financial data.
  • Assist in financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls.
