This role sits within Laurentian Bank.
Reporting to Manager of Recovery, the incumbent ensures a high level of team performance by providing regular coaching and performance management of team members. He/she the lead on resolving larger more complicated litigation matters, managing various outsource partners including law firms, agencies, bailiffs and dealing with other parties such as trustees, insolvency and fraud representatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University Degree in business or a related field, with 5-10 years of related experience.or College Diploma in business or a related field and 10-15 years of related experience
  • Successful completion of Credit Management courses or designation through the Credit Institute of Canada is an asset.
  • Minimum 5-10 years in collections and/or loss recovery.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ supervisory / management experience ideally in the field of financial services.
  • Results oriented, diplomatic, and adept at building customer relations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work closely with others in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of financial services industry and lending products.
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Outlook a must; familiarity with using large and complex financial database systems; ability to learn inquiry functions in back-office processing systems.
  • Bilingual French/English required.*
  • Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
