Description:
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Has 2 years previous Supervisor/Management experience in similar role;
- Strong awareness of the hospitality industry;
- A positive attitude, and an honest and trustworthy character is essential;
- Proven track record in sales performance with clear ability to convert business;
- Excellent guest communication skills and attention to detail;
- Strong creativity and organisational skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel as well as the ability to learn and utilise new computer software programs;
- Opera Fidelio an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a professional, friendly and courteous service to all guests;
- Dealing with guests in person, telephone & email and responding to all requests in a professional & timely manner. Endeavoring to convert all enquiries to a sale whilst providing the highest level of service, integrity and creativity;
- Work varying shifts 5 days per week
- Ensure that the switchboard operation is delivered in an efficient and professional manner at all times.
- In the absence of the Reservations Manager, being the first point of call for the Reservations Department and for team members.
- Promote the facilities and services on offer by the resort
- Ensuring that service is delivered in accordance with agreed standards
- Ensure that bookings for the outlets are accurately taken using the relevant system;
- Ensure that all information is communicated to the relevant party(parties) in a timely manner;
- To assist in the training and development of team members
- Compile weekly and monthly reports as required;
- Working with team to achieve monthly room hire, and food and beverage revenue targets.
