Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

We are currently seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and motivated Assistant Village Manager looking for Full Time FIFO Ex Perth employment working at one of our Mining Villages in Kalgoorlie region, WA 6430!

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Current C class WA Driver’s Licence (ESSENTIAL)
  • Current National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
  • Demonstrated experience managing village operations in remote or mining environments
  • Sound understanding of FIFO rosters, logistics coordination, and resource planning.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale catering services in industrial kitchen or camp settings.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP principles, FSANZ food safety standards, and audit readiness.
  • Understanding of mine site cleaning requirements and infection control practices and safe chemical handling (e.g., SDS, dilution systems).
  • Strong understanding of WHS legislation and mine site safety protocols.
  • Experience in delivering toolbox talks, incident investigations, and completing risk assessments (e.g., JHAs, SWMS).
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Proficient in budget oversight, stock ordering, and cost management
  • Experience with invoicing, payroll/timesheet reconciliation, and cost reporting.
  • Familiarity with systems such as SAP, MEX, or other consumables and asset management tools.
  • Confident decision-maker with sound judgment across operational and personnel matters.
  • Strong documentation skills, including incident reports, audit logs, and compliance tracking.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office, Safety Culture, SwiftPOS, and other relevant systems.
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate & Senior First Aid (highly regarded)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical which includes drug and alcohol tests (ESSENTIAL)
