SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Diploma/ITI in Automotive Electrical or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 4–6 years in automotive electrical repair, with at least 3 years specializing in German & European brands.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of electrical circuits, wiring diagrams, and vehicle electronics.
  • Expertise in diagnostic tools/software specific to German & European vehicles.
  • Knowledge of hybrid/electric vehicle systems is an added advantage.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Automotive Electrician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems of German and European vehicles (BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Volkswagen, Porsche, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo, etc.). The role requires advanced troubleshooting skills, knowledge of vehicle electrical schematics, and experience with modern diagnostic tools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnostics & Troubleshooting
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical and electronic faults in German & European cars.
  • Use advanced diagnostic equipment (OBD, Autologic, ISTA, XENTRY, VCDS, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot wiring harness issues, ECU/PCM failures, and CAN-bus communication errors.
  • Repair & Maintenance
  • Install, repair, and maintain vehicle wiring, lighting systems, ignition systems, alternators, starters, batteries, and relays.
  • Handle advanced systems such as adaptive headlights, parking sensors, ABS, ESP, airbags, infotainment, navigation, and climate control.
  • Repair hybrid/electric vehicle electrical systems (if applicable).
  • Upgrades & Programming
  • Perform coding, programming, and software updates for control units (ECUs).
  • Retrofit advanced features such as parking assistance, multimedia, and comfort functions.
  • Calibrate sensors and modules after replacement or repair.
  • Quality Control & Safety
  • Ensure all repairs are performed to manufacturer standards.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.
  • Conduct final testing and quality assurance before handing over vehicles.
