Description:
Band 5 Physiotherapist Southmead Hospital, Bristol
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our physiotherapy service as a band 5 Physiotherapist . Based at Southmead Hospital you will be responsible for an acute medicine physiotherapy case-load in a busy and dynamic environment working in experienced and supportive teams.
This post will be in the medicine team with the option to rotate through our acute medicine specialties. These include frailty short stay, older persons complex care, Elgar enablement and specialist medical areas such as gastro/infectious diseases.
You will have a mentor to support you during your rotations and have access to competency based training and CPD .

YOU: THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE GOOD EXPERIENCE IN:
A wide range of acute placements at undergraduate level
Post-Graduate experience
Organising and prioritising own workload and delegating responsibilities as appropriate
Working in multi-disciplinary teams
The successful applicant will be required to participate in weekend working.
Commitment to quality improvement and service development

- To be an autonomous Physiotherapy Practitioner providing a high standard of service in each of rotational clinical areas within the medicine pathway. Access to advice/support from a senior physiotherapist is available at all times.
- To participate in the rotational scheme, which involves working across the medicine pathway.
- To provide advice and information to Health Care Professionals, patients and carers.
Responsibilities:
Providing a high standard of physiotherapy service in each of the rotational clinical areas.
Working effectively with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, physiotherapy colleagues and outside agencies to provide information about physiotherapy treatment and contributing to patient Flow.
Communicate effectively with patients and carers to progress treatment programmes, provide reassurance and facilitate discharge.
