Description:
Mossop’s Social House at Hotel Victoria is currently recruiting for a Bartender! This position is responsible for preparing and serving drinks to our guests and customers. They are able to mix and match ingredients in order to create classic and innovative drinks in accordance with customers’ needs and expectations. The purpose of this position is to interact with the hotel guests and ensure they have a great experience!

Historic Hotel Victoria! This iconic building pays tribute to Queen Victoria and offers an intimate boutique style hotel located in the heart of downtown Toronto. The hotel is within walking distance of corporate and government offices, shopping, dining and major downtown attractions. The hotel is easily accessible with its ideal location on Yonge Street, just steps away from the Subway and Ground Transit Systems. The historically modern guestrooms feature new beds with pillow top mattresses, hardwood floors, LCD TVs, and custom designed, modern furniture. The lobby features a mix of classic and contemporary furnishings.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, you will:
- Interacts with customers in a friendly and helpful manner,
- Takes food and beverage orders and serves to guest with exceptional customer service!
- Assists in the planning and presentation of the bar menu
- Checks identification of the guests when in doubt, to make sure they meet age requirements for purchase of alcohol and tobacco products;
- Arranges bar area to make attractive displays
- Assesses customer’s needs and preferences and makes recommendations
- Possesses the ability to sell or influence others by up-selling and suggestive selling
- Provides recommendations and suggestions to guests
- Maintains liquor inventory and consumption
- Collects payment for drinks served and balances all receipts
- Prepares inventory or purchase requisitions as needed to replenish supplies
- Complies with all food and beverage regulations
- Performs other duties as and when assigned.
