JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems to enhance production efficiency and quality. This role requires a strong understanding of various engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CAD software for design purposes.
  • Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation technologies.
  • Experience with root cause analysis methodologies to identify issues in automated systems.
  • Familiarity with mechanical fabrication processes, tooling design, assembly techniques, and welding practices.
  • Understanding of plastics injection moulding processes is advantageous.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement strategies.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automation systems using Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other control systems.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve automation issues effectively.
  • Create and modify schematics using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for system layouts and component specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing processes.
  • Oversee the fabrication of tooling and fixtures required for automated processes.
  • Ensure compliance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards in design documentation.
  • Provide mechanical knowledge to support assembly processes, including plastics injection moulding and welding operations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of automation projects, including design changes, testing results, and operational procedures.
