Description:

EDUCATION, TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in benefits administration or a similar HR role.
  • Certification in benefits administration or related field (e.g., CEBS, SHRM) preferred but not required.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, absence management and other benefit offerings.
  • Manage the enrollment process for new employees and partner with the Broker to facilitate annual open enrollment for existing employees.
  • Communicate with team members, educating them about their benefits, answer questions and help them enroll in programs.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees on benefits related inquiries or issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all benefit plans and employee enrollments.
  • Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments within the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
  • Collaborate with brokerage, insurance carriers, and third-party vendors to manage benefits programs effectively.
  • Partner with carrier to manage leave of absence process end-to-end for all team members, from initial request through their return-to-work.
  • Provide customer service support to internal and external customers. Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company’s benefits package.
  • Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions. Provide training and support to group benefits associates, home office associates and the field staff.
  • Partner with HR Systems Administrator to ensure set up and timely delivery of benefits and integrations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in benefits legislation to recommend necessary program adjustments.
  • Provide necessary reports and audits for allocation/billing charges.
  • Perform quality checks of benefits-related data.
