Description:
EDUCATION, TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in benefits administration or a similar HR role.
- Certification in benefits administration or related field (e.g., CEBS, SHRM) preferred but not required.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, absence management and other benefit offerings.
- Manage the enrollment process for new employees and partner with the Broker to facilitate annual open enrollment for existing employees.
- Communicate with team members, educating them about their benefits, answer questions and help them enroll in programs.
- Provide support and guidance to employees on benefits related inquiries or issues.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all benefit plans and employee enrollments.
- Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments within the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
- Collaborate with brokerage, insurance carriers, and third-party vendors to manage benefits programs effectively.
- Partner with carrier to manage leave of absence process end-to-end for all team members, from initial request through their return-to-work.
- Provide customer service support to internal and external customers. Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company’s benefits package.
- Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions. Provide training and support to group benefits associates, home office associates and the field staff.
- Partner with HR Systems Administrator to ensure set up and timely delivery of benefits and integrations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in benefits legislation to recommend necessary program adjustments.
- Provide necessary reports and audits for allocation/billing charges.
- Perform quality checks of benefits-related data.
