Description:

Administers all aspects of the employee benefits, wellness programs, leave of absences and workers compensation in Human Resources.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
Assures communication of benefit plans enrollment, 401(k), leaves of absences, and employee wellness programs.
Reconciles all benefit accounts for the approval of billing statements.
Ensures accurate data is submitted to all carriers for benefit enrollment, 401(k), workers compensation and FMLA.
Verifies all laws and regulations are followed to assure company compliance with provisions of ERISA,
ACA, IRS and DOL Reviews and analyzes changes to the laws pertaining to benefits, and reports necessary or
suggested changes to management.
Compiles information regarding work comp incidents and related medical expenses and prepare ongoing reports as required by state law.
Works closely with injured rockers for a quick return to work with minimal to no loss time, while receiving the
best medical care.
Completes all OSHA and WC reports required by Federal and State laws and regulations.
Creates a positive environment in which all employees feel comfortable to meet with the Benefits Coordinator regarding their benefit concerns. Handles benefit inquires and complaints to ensure quick and courteous resolutions. Maintain primary contact in person, and by phone, or email, with hospitals, physicians, insurance companies, employees, and beneficiaries to facilitate proper and complete utilization of benefits for all employees.
Coordinates the internal employee wellness program and provides recommendations along with the communication of the company wellness program.
Maintains benefit files and ensures HIPAA compliance as the privacy officer.
Listens to comments, criticisms, and feedback from employees to gain an understanding of strength and opportunity to improve benefit programs.
Maintains a good business relationship with all benefit vendors.
Must be actively at work to perform the essential functions of this job.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
A. Knowledge: The level of education, experience, and training an individual must have at minimum to be considered qualified for the position.
B. Skills: Specific skills such as computer usage, communication, 10-key touch, etc.
C. Abilities: The physical components of the job and how the physical aspect is accomplished. Does the position require LIFTING 50 pounds, or does it require one to MOVE 50 pounds. Can the 50 pounds be moved using a dolly or cart? (Examples: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, tasting, smelling, color vision, etc.)
High School diploma general education (GED)
A four-year degree in Business Administration or 3 years of prior benefit experience
Expert in all aspects of insurance plans, FMLA, and 401k plans.
Knowledge of employment laws
Must have basic computer skills.
Must have the ability to have fun while on duty.

Must have great oral and written communication skills.

Training
All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within thirty (30) days of hire date, then annually thereafter. Training marked with an asterisk below must be completed prior to reporting to their respective work area. The below courses are required for this position:
