Origin.Bio’s technology is the basis to combine good for the planet a large-scale production.
Current processes to produce valuable compounds require mineral oil of monoculture plantations with devastating effects on our climate and biodiversity. With the help of microorganism, we scale biology to produce the same ingredients as the traditional chemical industrial process - using less energy and producing close to zero waste. We produce sustainable ingredients and materials that will help create better products substituting chemicals in industrial and consumer applications. Cost-effectively and with a good conscience.

  • A bachelor’s degree in the field of Biotechnology of Chemical Engineering with 1-3 years of working experience of a Master’s degree
  • Hands-on experience with aerobic fermentation in shake flasks (100ml - 3 L) and lab bioreactors (1L-10L) and bench scale downstream equipment
  • Experience with aseptic techniques and BSL1 organisms
  • Proven successful track record in developing novel fermentation processes and scale-up is a plus
  • Excellent verbal, written, & scientific documentation skills
