Where you´ll contribute: Work with the Innovation and Development team to design, execute and analyse bioprocesses for developing bacterial protein extract products. Operate and maintain bioprocessing equipment, including laboratory-scale bioreactors, as well as upstream and downstream equipment and utilities. Execute equipment maintenance and calibration. Clean and sterilise equipment used in bioprocessing. Calibrate instruments and systems to ensure accuracy. Support the monitoring of bioprocesses by performing in-process control during fermentation trials and downstream processes, including sampling and assisting with laboratory analytics (spectrometry, HPLC and enzymatic tests). Adhere to and suggest improvements for existing SOPs and guidelines. Ensure full process traceability by maintaining detailed trial records and logs. What we’re looking for: Educational Background: Master’s degree or Bachelor degree with at least two years of experience in Bioprocess Engineering, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Chemical or Mechanic Engineering, or related fields. Professional Experience Hands-on experience of operating bioprocessing equipment such as laboratory-scale bioreactors, autoclaves, filtration systems and centrifuges as well as relevant analytics. Basic knowledge of upstream (fermentation) and downstream (separation and inactivation) processes. Candidates with a background in mechanics or a related field must demonstrate direct experience in biotech or agri-food manufacturing settings. Skills & Attributes Analytical and creative thinking with attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural team. Strong motivation to contribute to sustainability and innovation in the food system. You are fluent in English (spoken and written); German is an advantage.
