Bookkeeper

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper for a distributor located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. As a Bookkeeper, your primary function will be to handle account reconciliations, billing, and accounts payable and receivable operations in a dynamic environment.

• Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
• Manage account balances and bank reconciliations effectively and efficiently
• Contribute to the improvement of billing and receipt processes
• Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
• Perform data entry associated with accounts payable and receivable
• Review and verify bills and invoices for discrepancies
• Prepare and mail bills or invoices in a timely manner
• Identify and address discrepancies in financial entries and reports
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies
• Assist with special accounting projects as needed.
• Applicant must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
• Proficiency in account reconciliation is required.
• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) is necessary.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations is essential.
• Demonstrated skills in data entry are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary for this role.
