Job Description
Reporting to the Business Centre Manager, the Branch Manager will work and oversee operations at the Business center(s).

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Works strategically, collaboratively and cooperatively with Noramco’s Telecom and Utility Managers ensure best in class service and support from London’s Distribution Centre (Operationally & Administratively) (25%);
Proactively works with and supports NCS International’s warehouse Manager and Administrative Managers to ensure productivity, KPIs and forecasted targets are met (25%);
Proactively works with a supports Noramco’s Commercial & Industrial South-West Ontario Sales Operations Manager to ensure sales and margin targets are met (25%);
P&L Management to ensure the London Distribution Centre is performing at forecasted targets (25%);

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum five (5) years of industry experience preferable, or a combination of relevant experience and education
  • Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management
  • Solid understanding of financial management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High level of critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build relationships among managers, employees, and partners
  • Ability to address problems and opportunities for the company
  • Capability to organize his work with a minimum of supervision

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all job functions are performed in accordance to the NCS International Standard Practice Instruction (SPI) Manual;
  • Manages the London Operations that supports our Telecom Ontario, Utility Ontario and South-Western Ontario Commercial & Industrial businesses;
  • Responsible for the London Branch P&L for all 3 business units that it supports;
  • Responsible for a team of 32 (24 Operation employees, 2 Administrative employees, and 6 Sales employees);
  • Directly manages a team of 3 (London warehouse manager, Administrative manager and S-W C&I Sales Operations Manager);
  • Provides leadership and sales support to S-W C&I Sales Operations Manager to ensure sales and margin targets are met;
  • Works with S-W C&I Sales Operations Manager to develop meaningful strategies for key customers;
  • Works strategically and cooperatively with National Telecom and Utility Sales Operations Directors;
  • Deal with every escalated customer complaint in an expedient manner and ensure they are satisfied with our resolve;
  • Identify and help develop internal/external opportunities to further enable profitable sales growth of the department. Opportunities include but are not limited to product, customer, processes, resources, equipment, etc;
  • Assist in building strong customer relationships with senior management at key customer accounts;
  • Build strong vendor relationships;
  • Provide direction to Warehouse Manager and staff in order to optimize operational efficiencies;
  • Ensure all London branch employees have the tools and support necessary to do their job functions effectively;
  • Coordinate and assist, when necessary, the various functions in office sales, operations and administration, including but not limited to:
  • Providing pricing quotations to customers and following-up;
  • Entering customer orders;
  • Receiving material and picking/shipping customer orders;
  • Create, Implement, track and communicate KPIs for London branch employees;
  • Provide guidance and support to purchasing team when required for all London branch inventory purchases;
  • Stay informed of sales objectives, targeted product lines, required market-intel, vendor objectives, and competitor activities and actively promote new knowledge to immediate director reports, manager teammates as deemed necessary;
  • Maintain a system of effective communication between Sales Operations Leaders, Purchasing and Administration so that all parties are regularly updated with capacity challenges and service issues;
  • Participate in the execution of inventory cycle counts as required;
  • Identify and implement strategies that will reduce operating costs;
  • Manage freight costs for inbound & outbound shipments for the London business;
  • Continuously develop knowledge of product to remain up-to-date with various product lines (including vendor training) and industry changes;
  • Complete documentation and participate in Noramco annual forecast meetings;
  • Keep open line of communication with OBM on all significant successes and challenges;
  • Collaborates with OBM on all significant changes that are required in the London branch;
  • Works closely with OBM when support is required;
  • Participates in a weekly manager’s call;
  • Quarterbacks a weekly SIOP call with all key stakeholders;
  • Performs any other duties as required by OBM;
