Position Summary
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development and Operations Manager to lead our efforts in expanding our presence in the Australian market. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the casino industry in Australia, with a proven track record of developing strategic partnerships and driving growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Market Development:

  • Identify and evaluate business opportunities in the Australian market and develop and implement market penetration strategies to increase SciPlay’s market share and user base.
  • Initiate and develop local content for our games by working closely with the game teams to ensure cultural relevance and appeal to the Australian audience.

Partnerships and Alliances:

  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with local suppliers, casinos, media channels, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and manage contracts with partners to ensure mutually beneficial relationships.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations related to the Australian market, ensuring smooth execution of business plans.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams across different time zones to align operations with business goals.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns to drive new users and leverage marketing opportunities to drive user acquisition and retention.

Revenue Growth:

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to increase revenue through new business models, product offerings, and partnerships.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and user behaviors to inform strategic decisions.

Compliance and Regulation:

  • Ensure all business activities comply with local laws and regulations in the Australian gambling industry.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and adjust strategies accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, operations, or a related role within the Casino industry in Australia.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing strategic partnerships.
  • Strong understanding and deep knowledge of the Australian gambling market, including regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in initiating and developing local content for games.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
