Description:

YOUR EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ASSETS:

  • You will be a driven and hardworking individual who is keen to learn and grow.
  • Technical, Industrial, or Scientific sales experience.
  • Product B2B sales to manufacturing is essential.
  • Experience of master-batch, engineering thermoplastics, polymer compounds, additives, chemicals, paints, coatings, life sciences, or industrial sales is also essential.
  • Have the capacity to understand the market and the competition.
  • Possess excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Be tenacious, patient and consultative in your approach – the lead time for conversion can be up to 24 months.
  • Possess excellent project management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and prior knowledge of a regulated environment would be advantageous.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Communicative, able to work in an international environment.
  • Be able to work away on occasion including international travel 2-3 times per year for expos.
  • Possess a full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish excellent relationships by visiting existing and new customers. Assess customer needs and propose appropriate products and services.
  • Work with the Managing Director to develop pricing strategies that enable market share to be increased whilst generating an acceptable level of profitability.
  • Identify, research, and contact prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate sales and repeat business.
  • Based on analysis, sales experience and customer input prepare and monitor budget, forecast and longer-term sales plans for defined customer groups and selected countries.
  • Prioritise and schedule own sales activities so that these targets are achieved.
  • Gather timely, accurate and complete market knowledge on products, customers, markets and competitors to contribute to the overall sales strategy.
  • Provide technical support and advice to customers to propose suitable products and solutions to the customer’s exacting needs.
