Business Development Specialist Paving
Job Purpose
- Establishment and expansion of Topcon’s paving business. Main focuses are on 3D solutions for milling and paving but also on digitalization of the whole paving process.
- Acquisition of new distributors and service providers, and supporting all sales through existing distributors / subsidiaries for this product portfolio.
- Part of the work assignment will be to get in contact with tendering authorities and private project owners to add our solutions into tenders.
Core duties:
- Work to build up a network with the most important customers / partners / stakeholders in the area.
- Responsible for maximizing the sales of the paving portfolio within the designated region in line with the agreed sales budgets.
- Understand the paving industry and create business with existing and new stakeholders.
- Work closely with Topcon’s Sales and Marketing Teams to provide business solutions.
- Creating and supporting events for distributors, subsidiaries, authorities, universities and similar.
- Get in contact with tendering authorities and private project owners to add Topcon’s paving portfolio to tenders.
- Acquire new and support (focusing on sales) existing distributors for this product portfolio
Education and Experience:
- Civil engineer or similar
- 5+ years’ experience in paving and construction business
- Salesmen with a technical understanding
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Affinity for digitization
- Ability of building trusted long-term professional relationships
- A basic know-how for survey will be an advantage
- Able to present in front of deciders in local and English language.
- Willingness working in a virtual team
- Good skills at MS-Office
- Knowledge of CRM software (Salesforce / SAP)
- Driving license (car)
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to visit jobsites includes walks over rough terrain.
- Working from home in Ireland (home-office) with a willingness for traveling to the whole region responsible for, with exceptional trips within the EMEA Region.
- This position requires up to 50% travel.
- Working on exhibitions is also a part of this job.
