INTRODUCTION
Clicks is looking for a Business Process & Communications Officer to support the Supply Chain & Logistics department in effective administration of Distribution Centre (DC) communications and ensuring accurate and updated information is available to all DC’s across agreed formats.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- To deliver updates of Logistics policies and SOP’s through reviewing, editing and communicating to all DC’s through electronic communication processes and within agreed timeframes.
- To maintain updated policies and SOP’s, and training material on the intranet according to required standards and to ensure DC compliance and consistency.
- To engage with key stakeholders in the business regarding timelines and content of policies and SOP’s to ensure consistency and accuracy of processes.
- To attend, participate and record weekly Scorecard meetings to enable them to draft a summary report to the required standard for Head of Supply Chain and Logistics Executive.
- To deliver end-to-end management of all DC communications by all stakeholders that ensures effective gatekeeping of all instructions and messaging to stores.
- To develop, write up and standardise training material for new projects as required that meets business requirements within agreed timeframes.
- To ensure compliance to all SOP’s aligned to regulatory frameworks within the DC space.
- To communicate potential compliance issues pertaining to SOP’s and developing strategies to mitigate them.
JOB RELATED KNOWLEDGE
Essential:
- DC policies and processes
- Knowledge of SOP’s
- Knowledge of Distribution Centre communications
- IT knowledge (systems and applications)
- Knowledge of warehouse and compliance procedures
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Essential:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a training design, communications, or similar environment
- Policy management and communication
Desirable:
- Working in a warehouse/logistics environment
EDUCATION
Matric Certificate. (Essential)
B.com/BA/Diploma in Communications and/or other relevant qualification (Essential)
