What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be joining CIBC’s Direct Financial Services Simplii Operations Automation team. You’ll be hands-on with all aspects of preparing in-depth queries, design, write and execute queries for BAU processes using automation tools such as Micro Focus UFT One 2021 (Unified Functional Testing), Selenium, TestNG, Cucumber or other similar programs . You’ll leverage automation tools to develop, enhance and execute automated scripts.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Build and write scripts - Adept at writing and building scripts to automate, enhance and test BAU processes for a diverse range retail banking products.
  • Automation and Engineering – Actively use your skillsets in not only the maintenance of existing packages but also the evaluation, design and implementation of new automation technologies, frameworks, DevOps products and techniques; . You will be working with cutting-edge Automation Tools and overseeing improvements in the toolsets to drive efficiencies in existing and new processes.
  • Testing expertise – Lead the investigation and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects across the business. Use your expertise in software development testing to provide clients with quality products that meet business and system requirements. Document test processes and results, ensuring through reporting and traceability.
  • Active participation– Support end-to-end project implementation and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems. Proactively identify any potential issues throughout all the product development phases and suggest possible improvements or enhancements. Develop imaginative solutions and new ways of thinking about situations, problems and opportunities. You can conduct research and root cause analysis, analyze tradeoffs between usability, performance and key business objectives.
  • Project coordination – Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project’s timeline or success and provide regular status updates to your manager and the business. Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders, and escalate issues when necessary. Ensure that all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to project’s timeline, budget and goals.

Who You Are

  • You are experienced in writing / building automation scripts, software development testing, and process improvement principles. You bring 5+ years of hands-on experience in building automation scripts to enhance and test and a proven track record of process improvement. You have in-depth knowledge and experience in automation tools and frameworks like Microfocus UFT/Selenium/ Robot/ Quantum, exposure to software development, , writing and executing SQL queries, as well as creating and executing test scripts.
