In this role you will buy materials through MRP and Requisition process from agreed list of suppliers, considering Supply Chain targets (price, quality, inventory) and you will be responsible for material availability, resolving challenges as they arise and proposing solutions for eliminating the root cause of problems in the supply chain. We encourage advancement and offer tangible development opportunities!   In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: * Procurement of both direct (material availability and optimized inventory) and indirect (broad range of indirect material, from outsourcing of product development to facility cleaning and office supplies) materials and services  * Strong drive for process improvement and ability to identify opportunities, find solutions or process improvements that would help, and implement changes * Supporting the development and maintenance of effective supplier relationships to achieve company goals related to schedule, reducing material lead times, improving quality, reliable delivery performance and favorable pricing * Collaborating with finance, engineering, commodity managers, receiving, other teams and requestors to resolve issues as they arise * Identifying non-performing suppliers, propose and drive improvement activities with support from commodity manager * Evaluating and determine best shipment mode to optimize logistic cost * Part number set-up and / or update * Setting up new supplier and maintaining supplier database info (address, contact, etc) * Responsibility for maintaining purchasing parameter integrity in the business systems     Who You Are: You partner with others to get work done and acquire data from multiple and diverse sources when solving problems. You provide timely and helpful information to individuals across the organization. You make decisions and take actions without the total picture and you carefully consider all relevant factors and use appropriate decision-making criteria and principles. You effectively communicate in various settings: one-on-one, small and large groups, or among diverse styles and position levels. You break down objectives into appropriate initiatives and actions.   For This Role, You Will Need: * Bachelor's degree (in Supply Chain, Business, Technical or related field or related) * Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement activities/customer service/order management/logistics * Good understanding of procurement processes related to direct and indirect materials, services, materials planning and buying needs * Proficient level in English * Knowledge of effective interaction and dealing with suppliers * Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Work and PowerPoint)  * Occasional travelling   Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:  * The ability to work in a structured manner across multiple categories simultaneously * Knowledge of MRP (preferred Oracle), inventory management; BI tool * Knowledge of IDM procurement system (preferred iProcurement) and invoice system (preferred Esker) * Understanding concepts of lean technics * Ability to work collaboratively and successfully within a matrix organization     Our Culture and Commitment to You At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
