BUYER REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as a Buyer within the housebuilding or wider construction sector
• Strong commercial awareness and confident negotiation skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and prepare accurate take-offs
• Proficient user of Microsoft Excel for budgeting and scheduling tasks
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to liaise with internal teams and suppliers
• Full UK driving licence to visit sites when required

OTHER DESIRABLE SKILLS INCLUDE:

• Working knowledge of COINS or a similar procurement/ERP system
• Experience managing supplier relationships within a group procurement framework
