CAMHS has an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced Clinical Psychologist, Family Therapist or Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist to step into an established role within a diverse and experienced team.
Working as a CAMHS Clinical Lead in Southend, you would have comprehensive knowledge and significant experience of working with young people in a CAMHS service.
We are an effective, supportive and innovative team that cover the Southend area in Essex.
We are looking for a dynamic individual who is passionate about helping young people and their families, interested in leading clinical developments with the team, supervising staff and supporting the manager to maintain and develop the highest standards of care and therapeutic support for the young people and their families who access our service. The clinical leads are expected to support the team and develop the delivery of care through supervision of some staff and by offering their input within MDT and leadership meetings.
The role of the Clinical Lead is to support a range of 1-1 therapies within the CYP IAPT model and as indicated by the NICE guidance.
You will have experience of supervising and managing others, you would also have a keen interest in developing innovative strategies to support young people and their families.
As well as holding a reduced case load, the Clinical Lead supports their clinical team to deliver therapeutic interventions and continue development through supervision, teaching, and mentoring. Knowledge and experience of delivering interventions within child mental health is essential. Additional therapeutic skills and training such as CBT, SFT, Family / Systemic, DBT and other counselling approaches is desirable.
COVID-19 Vaccination
We continue to encourage all staff to ensure that they have been double vaccinated and received their booster. We recognise that taking the vaccine provides the best defence against COVID 19 for our patients, our staff and their families.

SET CAMHS has adopted the iTHRIVE Framework, which provides a set of principles for improving mental health and wellbeing support for children, young people and families, with SET CAMHS working in partnership with HCRG Care Group to deliver service to children and young people. The THRIVE Framework is needs-led which means that mental health needs are defined by the children, young people and their families, alongside professionals, through shared decision making. i-THRIVE | Implementing the THRIVE Framework (implementingthrive.org)
