We are looking for a Procurement Professional who has previous experience in a similar role with leadership experience.
- Sound analytical and numerical skills to ensure that deals support the business model
- You will develop and maintain strong relationships while have the ability to influence and manage team results while managing your own deliverables
- Deliver continuous improvements and competitive results for Synlait
- Strong Commercial acumen
- Skills to enable you to identify strengths, weaknesses and alternative solutions when dealing with suppliers
A tertiary education in Supply Chain Management or 3-5 + years experience in ingredient, packaging, or FMCG procurement is highly regarded in this role as well as a recognised Procurement/Supply Chain industry body (eg. CIPS).

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a driven and collaborative procurement professional who is well versed in FMCG procurement and is ready to take that next career step! Join us as the Category Portfolio Manager where you will play a key role in the development and implementation of strategic and operational sourcing for packaging and raw materials to Synlait finished products.
The main responsibilities of this role include..
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for ingredients and packaging across global markets.
- Develop and manage internal stakeholder relationships to optimise profitability, market share and revenue growth of our short and long goals.
- Lead a team where fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Monitor market trends to ensure supply availability and competitive pricing.
- Promote best in class Supplier relationship management practice.
- Develop and track Category budget, escalating any potential issues promptly
- Track and manage inventory levels to ensure timely replenishment.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
- Manage procurement data and generate reports for management review.
Key to your success will be your ability to quickly identify significant savings in the packaging and raw materials portfolio to be able to deliver results. This person will need to be a self-starting finisher with the tenacity to influence change.
