Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Civil Site Supervisor you will work closely with Construction Managers and Site Managers and be responsible for the successful completion and delivery of civil site works, and managing onsite workers, personnel and contractors. You will also interact with other key stakeholders like company clients, management team and staff, the SQE team, subcontractors and suppliers. Please note that travel and a standard construction roster arrangements are requirements of this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, motivate and mentor site teams with a focus on outcomes and quality
  • Provide weekly and monthly reports as required
  • Issue tenders, select, engage and effectively manage onsite sub-contractors
  • Plan, resource, execute and monitor the civil works aspects of projects, driving initiatives to complete projects on time and within budget
  • Ensure the smooth running of civil works and other initiatives through appropriate processes and risk management
  • Manage the site related civil works budgets including monthly reports
  • Develop a team culture where individual members are valued and recognised for their diverse skill sets
  • Actively create and promote a safe and healthy work environment

To be successful in this role, you will be well organised and good at solving problems. You will have strong people skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate people at all levels. Your skills and experience will also include:

  • 4+ years supervising civil works projects valued $1m+
  • High voltage (HV) infrastructure (preferred)
  • Procurement, construction and commissioning knowledge (preferred)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SQE
  • Effective negotiatio
