Civil Enforcement Officer Role Profile
Plymouth Highways department have a number of vacancies within the Parking Service and are looking to recruit a number of ambitious; Customer focussed Civil Enforcement Officers,

Within this role the successful candidate will:

  • Driving/operating of safety/camera (adapted) vehicle for enforcement of parking regulations throughout the city. I.e. Schools &bus stops
  • Responsible for all on and off-street parking enforcement throughout the city and council car parks, during prescribed hours, in accordance with the Traffic Management Act 2004 and as directed by the Civil Enforcement Supervisor
  • Undertake beats and patrols, and complete log books and hand held computers as directed by the Civil Enforcement Supervisor
  • Cone off sections of highway and / or parking bays and assist with the installation or removal of parking area signs and notices, including placing „No Waiting‟ cones as directed by the Civil Enforcement Supervisor
  • Undertake any training and development as identified as part of individual appraisals and / or as directed by the Civil Enforcement Supervisors, including regular refresher training.
  • Provide help and advice to the public and be an ambassador for the council as part of a high profile uniformed public service providing customers with courteous help and advice
  • To drive all parking unit fleet vehicles

3 x full time 37 hours per week over 7 days
