Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health. Responsibilities The Clinic Dietitian delivers individualized nutrition care as directed by medical providers. This includes assessing nutritional needs, creating and managing care plans, educating patients, and supporting clinic programs. The Dietitian also contributes to community outreach and ongoing program development while maintaining clinical competence and regulatory compliance. Patient Care Assess nutrition status and develop care plans Perform and interpret RMR testing Communicate with care team to ensure continuity Support patients in setting and achieving health goals Document care and manage scheduling/billing records Patient Education Provide weight management counseling Review food records and dietary habits Teach classes and co-lead support groups Deliver education tailored to age, culture, and individual needs Program & Service Management Manage and support nutrition programs (e.g., HEAL) Collaborate with diabetes educators and mental health providers Apply current research to clinical practice Develop materials and assist with policy updates Promote services through presentations and outreach Other Duties Support daily clinic operations as assigned by leadership Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service, or related field Completion of an accredited dietetic internship or equivalent required by CDR Experience: 1+ year clinical experience preferred Outpatient experience and public speaking skills preferred Licensure/Certifications: Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) with CDR Licensed Dietitian in Iowa (or IL/WI as applicable) BLS certification Valid driver’s license for work-related travel Mandatory Reporter certification Skills & Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Computer proficiency for documentation and presentations Team-oriented and independent work capability Fluent in English (spoken and written) Other: Able to use standard clinical and office equipment #UPC123
