The ICT department at Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and conscientious IT professional to join the Department as an ICT Clinical Application Specialist. It is essential for the successful candidate to have excellent communication skills and have significant relevant experience of working with clinical systems.
The Clinical Application Specialist will be required to provide Subject Matter Expert knowledge (SME) to their ‘primary systems’ manage their own workload and supervise that of the ICT Application Analysts.
This is a key position within the Clinical Systems Team liaising with multiple clinical staff both within and external to the Trust to support all clinical systems across both sites and FTB. The candidates need to be familiar with multiple clinical systems including PAS. Experience of problem solving, training and/or demonstrating systems would be required. The role involves working alongside project support to deploy systems across the Trust, and also involves working independently within a team driven environment. There would be a requirement to participate in the on-call rota.
