Significant experience in the design of services and a knowledge and understanding of commissioning approaches.

Lambeth Council is seeking to appoint a Commissioning Manager to deliver the Emotional and Mental Health portfolio of work within its Integrated Children’s Commissioning team. This position will take a lead role in the delivery of programmes of work across both the council and Southeast London ICB.
The successful post holder will have a strong understanding of the Emotional and Mental Health provision to improve outcomes for children and young people.. They will work across the council and the ICB and recognise the value and importance of integrated working and join commissioning to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families in a challenging financial climate.
Key areas of work and responsibilities for this role will include oversight and delivery of key commissioning strands related to children’s physical, emotional and mental health and well being as part of the wider commissioning team. You will play a critical role in ensuring delivery of Lambeth’s Local Transformation plan for children and young people’s mental health, designing and shaping the service offer to broaden reach and overcome some of the barriers Lambeth’s most vulnerable residents may experience in getting the support they need at the stage that is needed.
