Description:
As Communications advisor, you’ll be part of an integrated, multi-skilled Corporate Relations team, producing high-quality content for Wilmar Sugar and Renewables - the nation’s largest sugar manufacturer and one of Australia’s largest generators of renewable electricity of biomass.
This is a full-time position based in our Townsville office in the heart of the city. Enjoy a beautiful tropical climate, stunning coastal views and a welcoming community with easy access to the Great Barrier Reef and Magnetic Island.
Qualifications/experience
- Degree or higher certificate in Communication, Marketing Communication, Professional Writing, Journalism or Public Relations
- Demonstrated experience in corporate communication, journalism or marketing communication
- Digital communication skills
- Photography and video production skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Queensland “C” class driver’s licenc
Responsibilities:
- Plan, co-ordinate and produce high-quality content for a range of communication platforms.
- Effectively communicate key messages to target audiences, including growers, employees, customers, community members in milling areas, and other external stakeholders.
- Engage with managers and employees at all levels to gather information, images, and videos for various uses, such as internal and external newsletters, digital products, media releases, websites, and stakeholder communications.
- Provide communication support for community engagement activities.
- Support grower and stakeholder engagement initiatives, including site tours and information sessions.
- Coordinate and direct external content producers, such as videographers, photographers, and graphic designers, ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with corporate identity, brand, and positioning.
