Conference and Banqueting Sales Coordinator

IT WOULD BE ADVANTAGEOUS IN THIS POSITION FOR YOU TO DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING CAPABILITIES AND DISTINCTIONS:

  • Knowledge of the hotel conference and Events management systems
  • Previous experience in conference and Events role
  • Previous customer service experience

Responsibilities:

  • Maximise all Conference and Events revenue opportunities through upselling of function items
  • Receive and convert incoming relevant enquiries to achieve targets and maximize revenue
  • Build strong relationships with customers to fully understand their needs
  • Plan conferences and events and prepare Event Orders for the Food and Beverage Operations Team. Ensure that all the information is accurate, confirmed and billing details documented and in line with the credit policy.
  • Meet & greet nominated conference contact or organizer to check on their satisfaction and the setup of the meeting rooms on the day of the event.
  • Conduct Show rounds for companies & agents in line with the Company policy.
  • Support the Food & Beverage operations and room reservations team with information as required.
  • Handle all client questions / requests as needed
  • Prepare relevant invoices & final bills and liaise with clients accordingly.
  • Manage Group Masters post event to ensure full payment is received
  • Support the Conference and Events Planning Manager and ensure Meeting & Events Team Members are developed effectively and generate a culture of high quality standards for relationship building, customer service, selling techniques, and billing and processing contracts
  • Providing on the Job Coaching / Training
  • Maximising efficiencies through smarter use of the systems
  • Track and maintain Upsell revenue based on targets given
  • Conduct customer surveys and gather feedback
  • Handle complaints as needed and work in collaboration with Operations teams to resolve customer complaints
  • Adhere to and comply with Health & Safety policies and procedures
