POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising construction projects from start to finish. This role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver high-quality results.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred). Relevant certifications such as PMP, CCM, or LEED are a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects of similar scale and complexity.
  • Skills:
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend) and project scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
  • Thorough knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and timelines.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and scope.
  • Establish milestones and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery.
  • Budget Management:
  • Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets.
  • Approve project expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Track financial performance and address any variances.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead project teams, including subcontractors, laborers, and consultants.
  • Provide clear direction, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts to maintain productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Quality and Compliance:
  • Oversee the implementation of quality assurance and quality control measures.
  • Ensure that all construction activities meet or exceed building codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and address issues promptly.
  • Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Respond to challenges and changes during the project lifecycle, including delays, unforeseen circumstances, and scope changes.
  • Communication and Reporting:
  • Maintain open and effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, including updates on timelines, costs, and challenges.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
  • Safety Oversight:
  • Promote a culture of safety on-site, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Address and resolve safety concerns promptly.
