About the role
Due to a busy pipeline of projects, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Specialist Services team within Holmes’s Fire Practice (incorporating Fire Protection and Passive Fire services). We’re now looking for Construction Site Engineer to work in our Passive Fire team in Auckland.
This role will see you working alongside an experienced team of Passive Fire and Fire Engineers on a wide range of construction projects across many industries. You’ll have the opportunity to be involved in the design and buildability of these projects, providing construction advice and capability in order to maintain the fundamental requirements of building compartmentation, structural stability, fire separation and safe means of escape. You’ll also be involved in the construction monitoring of fire design features generally described in a fire report, fire protection design or passive fire engineering design documentation. This will include supporting the project delivery through early discussion and consultation with the project design team and contractor to allow effective and efficient constructable delivery.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who has experience working as a Foreman/Construction Site Manager or similar in a contractor or consultancy business. We’re interested in hearing from people with on-site construction experience who can help bring a practical focus to our outstanding engineering designs. You’ll also have strong knowledge of QA processes and systems.
