Consultant in Medical Oncology

at  East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust

We are looking to appoint a Medical Oncologist with Special Interest in Gynaecology.
This is a substantive appointment, based predominantly at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood, Middlesex but with commitments at Wexham Park Hospital. The post comprises 10 programmed activities (PAs) and an on-call commitment.
Mount Vernon is a well-respected cancer centre, providing care to over 5,000 new patients a year. It is currently run by East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust (ENHT) and is in the process of merging with University College London Hospital (UCH), a leading tertiary cancer services provider. Mount Vernon will continue to provide high-quality care for cancer patients during the transition period, which is expected to complete by September 2025.
This post is available immediately to provide site specific services to the local population and surrounding areas. Out-patient duties and SACT delivery will be at the Mount Vernon Cancer Centre and Luton & Dunstable Hospital. The post holder will be joining dynamic teams of surgeons and oncologists with a significant national research reputation in both tumour sites.

At Mount Vernon, the post holder will be expected to work with members of the Gynaecology SMDT to plan and supervise the oncology treatment of patients.
At Wexham Park Hospital the post holder will work closely with the Gynaecology multidisciplinary team to provide a safe and high-quality outpatient oncology and SACT delivery service.
