The Contract Specialist assists leaders on the Legal and Vendor Relations teams by performing a variety of legal and procurement related duties, with a primary focus on reviewing and negotiating vendor contracts.
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least three (3) years of relevant job experience
- Experience reviewing and negotiating vendor and other contracts preferred
- Knowledge of the contracting and procurement processes
- Have a commitment to continuous business improvement
- Be capable of working closely with internal clients and outside counsel
- Have effective planning, organizational and project management skills
- Be able to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively
- Have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Have excellent written and communication skills
- Have the ability to work independently
- Have critical thinking, analytical and problem solving skills
- Be self-motivated and able to work well in a team based environment
Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating vendor and other company contracts
- Performing vendor risk management and due diligence functions
- Identifying expiring contracts, managing contract reporting, and preparing amendments and termination letters
- Drafting written correspondence with outside counsel, vendors, and other third-parties
- Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Editing legal documents for accuracy
- Providing support and assistance to members of the Vendor Relations team.
- Other duties as assigned
