Description:

Robert Half is actively recruiting for a strong Controller/ Consultant for a Governmental client in Inland Empire. The consultant’s primary responsibilities will be leading the finance department in financial reporting, budget preparation, debt administration, revenue management, special projects, grants, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, month end close, payroll and year end audit. In addition, the consultant will need put together the annual comprehensive financial report ( ACFR) for the Board of Directors. This role will be hybrid twice / month in Riverside, CA.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Lead month end close, review and post journal entries
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliation
  • Prepare Comprehensive Annual Financial Package
  • Support and lead fiscal year end audit
  • Intergovernmental financial reporting including the Federal and State.
  • Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports (ACFR).
  • Demonstrable experience in managing budget processes
  • Proficiency in using accounting software systems
  • Proven knowledge in handling accounts payable (AP)
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services
  • Ability to prepare and manage an annual budget
  • Experience in auditing financial records and transactions
  • Expertise in capital management
  • Strong skills in cash flow analysis
  • Understanding of compliance regulations within the finance sector
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field is required
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
  • High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality
