What you will do:
The Coordinator, Social Media reports to the Manager, Social Media (EXH) and will support the social team in the day-to-day execution of social media content across Cineplex, The Rec Room and Playdium. This role will also work alongside the content, creative services, and guest services teams to build and grow our online communities and support in the development of engaging social first content. The Coordinator, Social Media will be working across our English and French channels therefore they must be proficient in both English and French.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about building online communities and is skilled and engaging with guests in a way that drives conversation, brand love and affinity. Experience working across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Community management for Cineplex Movies, Cinémas Cineplex, The Rec Room and Playdium.
  • Supporting the Manager, Social Media (EXH) in development, translation and execution of French content for the Cinémas Cineplex social channels.
  • Sourcing footage, photos and digital assets from content banks, studio partners, distributors and PR agencies to post on social.
  • Supporting pulling data for monthly and quarterly reporting for Cineplex Movies, The Rec Room and Playdium.
  • Support the social team in content ideation and creation.

Education & Certification

  • Post-secondary education with a degree or diploma in journalism, communications, digital marketing or a related field.
  • Fluent in both written and oral French and English, and knowledgeable about the Quebec market.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in Social Media, Digital Content or Digital Marketing.
  • 1-2 years of experience in community management and copywriting.
  • 1-2 years of experience in content creation (Short-Form Video Editing, Canva, Photoshop, etc) is a strong asset.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • You are knowledgeable on major social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Youtube.
  • You are knowledgeable with French Cinema and the Quebec entertainment market.
  • You’re passionate about building online communities and you know how to get audiences engaged and are experienced in writing copy that encourages conversation, builds community and feels authentic and genuine.
  • You have experience working with social media data and metrics and may have used platforms such as Sprinklr, Brandwatch or similar.
  • You consistently keep yourself up to date on social media best practices, emerging platforms, new features and look for ways to bring innovative approaches into your day-to-day.
