LyricFind is currently expanding and looking to hire a creative, performance-oriented Copywriter and Events Coordinator to join the team in Toronto, ON. We’re seeking a full-time copywriter with excellent writing skills and a passion for marketing events.
Position Profile
Reporting directly to the Director of Marketing and working closely with the Sales and Product teams, this role focuses on two main areas: Copywriting and Events Coordination.
Copywriting: You will be responsible for shaping the first impression of our company’s brand and developing its brand voice. This will involve creating engaging, clear, and concise content to market our products and services across various platforms, including print, web, mobile, video, and social media.
Events Coordination: You will be responsible for coordinating our participation in global conferences and industry events, as well as planning and executing LyricFind hosted and sponsored events. This will involve collaborating across departments and communicating with event organizers, venues, partners, etc.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Skilled writer, storyteller, and communicator with experience producing copy across various formats (web, email, presentations, etc.) for diverse audiences.
  • Strong proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and multitasking ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter and problem solver.

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, English, communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style guides.
  • Deep understanding and enjoyment of pop culture, with a keen awareness of new digital trends, platforms, viral content, press, and social media.

Responsibilities:

OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE:

  • Adapt the voice, style, and other characteristics of messaging based on the industry and/or target audience.
  • Stay updated on communication and client-related industry trends.
  • Maintain consistency in messaging by adhering to style guidelines and brand voice.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create copy across various formats, including websites, emails, digital ads, guides, sales presentations, and customer testimonials, ensuring the material is compelling, appropriate for the audience, and on brand.
  • Develop impactful messaging using marketing best practices to craft punchy, concise, and attention-commanding copy.
  • Refine copy to meet strategic objectives and align with the content strategy, making recommendations to ensure campaigns and tactics achieve goals.
  • Write clear, compelling, and error-free content.
  • Copyedit and proofread content.
  • Research and understand target audiences.
  • Coordinate all physical and digital assets for events and sponsorships.
  • Create social media content in accordance with conference calendars.
  • Monitor and report events ROI, KPIs, and make recommendations as needed.
  • Other marketing coordinator tasks such as data analysis and chart delivery.
