As a Cost Control Analyst working in the Civil & Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role in contributing significantly to the analyzing of the cost controls within our projects. Supporting our work on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion - you will ensure compliance within the standards of established when projects are opened whilst also collaborating with the project team in establishment of budget structures.

Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Ensure the integrity and conformity of revenues and actual costs declared on projects on a monthly basis.
  • Analyze and ensure the integrity of monthly closing cost controls, including inter-divisional transactions.
  • Collaborate in the contribute to the monitoring of risks and opportunities and discuss major deviations with the Cost Control Manager and Regional Leadership.
  • Take ownership in including administrative teams in project start-ups and resolving issues to ensure smooth administrative running of projects.
  • Collaborate with project team in the development of a cost control structure for stewardship projects.
  • Report any discrepancies or major problems identified during the cost control review to the Cost Control Manager and Regional Leadership.
  • Have active participation in the development of new analysis tools and coordinate their implementation while providing training to users (Dashboard and others).
  • Assist in the training of new employees on cost control tools and procedures.

THIS ROLE COULD BE FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, management, business administration, or finance-related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position within the construction industry.
  • Ability to anticipate and plan priority tasks, good listening skills and synthesis abilities.
    The expected salary range for this opportunity is $80,000 - $110,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate’s experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed above. Availability of certain benefits may vary based on the specific job role.
